From the end of February to the beginning of March, the first almond blossoms announce the arrival of warmer weather in Provence and Occitanie.
Shortly followed by the first asparagus, punnets of Carpentras strawberries, poppy fields and cherry orchards in bloom... Springtime in Provence is a carnival of vibrant colours, sensual scents and fragrant flavours...
Cherries are a significant agricultural product grown in Occitanie.
You can see cherry orchards in bloom in April and early May.
The time to enjoy their fruit is between late May and mid July.
