Some Local Geographic Terminology:
Euzet-les-Bains is located in the Gard department, within the Occitanie region of southern France.
Occitanie was established in 2016 through the merger of Languedoc-Roussillon and Midi-Pyrénées.
While Languedoc-Roussillon remains synonymous with its rich wine heritage, this new region encompasses several departments, including the Gard, Hérault, Aude, and Pyrénées-Orientales.
It’s important to note that some resources may still refer to Languedoc-Roussillon; therefore, using both the old and new names can be helpful when searching for locations.
⟫ The Gard: This administrative department is designated with the code number 30.
⟫ The Garrigue: A term for the wild aromatic scrublands typical of the region.
⟫ Uzège and Pays d’Uzès: This area includes charming villages surrounding the remarkable medieval cité of Uzès, known for its charm and authenticity.
The Occitanie region shares many similarities with neighboring Provence, famous for its lavender fields and picturesque villages.
The Village
The Village
15km from the medieval market town of Uzès, this is an extraordinary spot between Provence, The Cevennes, The Camargue and the Mediterranean.
Nearby UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Pont du Gard, Nîmes Arena, the ramparts of Aigues-Mortes and more, offer a destination rich in history and nature.
Today Euzet remains a great location for exploring this diverse region and recharging your batteries all year round.
At its centre is the old hameau of ancient stone houses, a little park, a chapel and a protestant temple.
The village enjoyed its heyday in the 19th century thanks to its thermal baths which were directed by Doctor Perrier - of the world famous Perrier natural mineral water - until 1912.

The caves of Euzet-les-Bains served as a vital refuge and infirmary for Jean Cavalier, leader of the Camisards, during their 18th-century struggle for religious freedom.
Hidden in the rugged Cévennes landscape, they stored food and ammunition for the Protestant rebels. Accessible via local walking trails, these caves echo a powerful legacy of resilience.
