You will have the chance to explore one of the most remarkable ancient structures in the world: the aqueduct of Nîmes, built 2000 years ago. Unique and magical.
More than just a sport, la VENI VICI will allow you to discover a major tourist route in France, which is the pride of all Gardois: NÎMES – LE PONT DU GARD – UZES, linked by the most famous Roman aqueduct in the world. The Pont du Gard, a masterpiece of ancient architecture, will be the central point of the event (bib pickup, family activities, bus shuttle departure and return point).
RETRACE HISTORY ALONG THE WATER’S EDGE
With a strong historical and sports challenge, la VENI VICI offers 5 distances (72 km run / 44 km run / 27 km run / 27 km timed Nordic walk / 13 km run / 13 km hike) across 3 sports experiences: running, timed Nordic walking, and hiking.
Starting from beautiful Roman Nîmes or from the Pont du Gard (depending on the chosen format), you will travel back in time through fragrant scrubland, cross charming preserved villages in Gard, and get amazed by Roman engineering, until the grand final : arriving at the remarkable medieval city of Uzès, the first Duchy of France and starting point of the Roman aqueduct of Nîmes.
