Languedoc-Roussillon

Languedoc-Roussillon is a fascinating part of Europe, bordering the Pyrenees Mountains to the south and the Mediterranean Sea to the east. It benefits from a Mediterranean climate and has lots of flora and fauna, a spectacular coastline, and an interesting history.

Things to see include mountains, rivers and lakes, ancient cities, towns, villages, thermal springs, abbeys, and cathedrals, châteaux and castles. You can find your villa in Languedoc-Roussillon in some of these old buildings

NOTES on recent regional changes

Occitanie is an administrative region of France that was created on 1 January 2016 from former French regions Languedoc-Roussillon and Midi-Pyrénées. France's Conseil d'État approved Occitanie as the new name of the region on 28 September 2016, effective 30 September 2016.

Some resources continue to use the term Languedoc-Roussillon, so sometimes it helps to use both the old and new names when searching for a location.
